I approach my practice as an artist from two different paradigms:
1 - The content. Over the years, I have covered a wide range of subjects rather than working with one major theme. Eventually, to bring coherence into apparent eclecticism, I conceived a global system of representation that I call REPRESENTATIO UNIVERSALIS*. It is divided into three major sections: Politics, Identity, and Science. Each section is subdivided into many categories and subcategories, allowing the integration of each and every artwork. This project grows from a global and holistic perspective of my practice as an artist and of its representation in a post-rational structure (See the project FRACTAL UTOPIA for additional details).
2 - The Historical Perspective. It is as important for me to consider the major historical transformations and discoveries that have affected the process of perceiving and making art. The Twentieth Century is particularly prolific in that regard, conceptually and technically, spanning from Cubism, Duchamps and Malevich, all the way to Conceptual Art and today’s world wide general exponential explosion in diversity of medium and philosophical orientations.
